Airbrush tanning is sometimes also called spray tanning, spray on tan, self tanner, custom tanning or Mystic / Booth tanning. No matter what you call it, it is by far the safest way to achieve a natural looking tan. We all know that ultraviolet rays are cancer-causing but with our all natural spray products, you can look your best with instant color risk-free all year round. You will NOT turn orange! The orange color some people have experienced after a spray tan is due to low-grade tanning solutions and over spraying.
The most effective airbrush tanning ingredient is DHA (dihydroxyacetone) and is FDA approved. DHA is a colorless sugar that interacts with dead cells located in the upper layer of the skin (epidermis). As the sugar binds with the dead skin cells, a color change occurs. Erythrulose, also a sugar, is another important substance in the sunless tanning solution. When used in combination with DHA it provides a longer lasting and more natural looking tan than DHA alone. The tan usually last 7 to 10 days depending on your skin.
